Catch Basin Repairs

Catch basins are installed in parking lots to provide adequate and regular drainage of water off of the surface. Because water is a prime factor in the deterioration of asphalt and concrete, catch basins are often the first areas of a parking lot to fail.

A typical catch basin is constructed of a concrete cone, reducer top, riser rings and a steel frame and grate. Over time asphalt will waste away from around the catch basin frames and water often times will permiate into that void before it has a chance to drain into the catch basin. In winter, as the runoff is mixed with highly corrosive parking lot salt, there is an even greater chance of the concrete to deteriorate. The freeze and thaw cycles we have in New Jersey further accelerate the deterioration process. If catch basins are left unrepaired the asphalt in the surrounding area will further deteriorate and cave in because of the erosion and asphalt and concrete failure.

The repair of the catch basin will increase the usefulness life of the parking lot. But more importantly, personal liability and vehicle damage will be eliminated.

Crack Repairs and Sealing

Cracks in your asphalt can become very costly if not maintained. We offer a multi-step solution to your asphalt crack repair.

A plan, identifying your needs and meet your asphalt maintenance budget.

Routing and cleaning the areas to be sealed.

Sealing the cracks with a hot rubber sealant.

Black silica sand is applied to protect the sealed areas and give a great looking finish.

Line Striping

A parking lot is one of the first things customers, clients, and visitors see entering a facility. A clean freshly striped lot is attractive and is a good indication that the property owner understands the importance of the first & last thing customers see when visiting a business.

A properly marked parking lot directs people safely around the area. Crosswalks, stop bars, loading-zone markings, and properly marked pickup areas inform people where it is safe to walk, when to give right-of-way to traffic, and what areas to avoid. It makes parking lots far safer.

To help preserve or improve the flow of traffic on a parking lot, line striping crews will either re-stripe or lay out new markings per customer’s specifications or we could help you design it for you.

Milling

Asphalt milling is the process of removing some or most of asphalt surface with an industrial milling machine. We’ve all seen this process being undertaken on our highways and city streets. The grinding machine moves the milled asphalt to a conveyor that loads it into large cartage trucks that transport it to nearby plants for recycling. Immediately afterwards, the milled surface can then be used as a driving surface or full depth paving can be done to restore an otherwise good road.

When the base of your parking lot remains in good condition but the asphalt layer has failed to a large extent, asphalt milling is a cost-effective way to bring your pavement back to like new condition.

The Benefits of Asphalt Milling Include:

  1. Restores pavement to a uniform cross-section and longitudinal profile.
  2. Milling brings back drainage flow and provides textured surface for skid control.
  3. It will also build up curb-reveal for roadways and parking areas that have had numerous overlays.
  4. There will also be minimal traffic interruption.
  5. Milling is especially cost effective for large surfaces such as streets, highways, runways, community developments and large parking lots
